The field of crisis management has proven to be extremely important nowadays when we are faced with evident climate changes. The consequence of this is the increasingly intense and frequent occurrence of disasters in the world.
This year, the two-day conference welcomed more than 140 participants, with record attendance.
SIGG focused on topics like disaster risk reduction, critical communication, and crisis management during natural disasters such as fires, floods and earthquakes.
A panel discussion titled “New technologies for crisis management” was held, including participation by Markoja’s own Robert Perenić, along with Josip Granić (HGSS/CMRS), Denis Stipanov (Head of the Protection and Rescue Service of the Istria County Fire Brigade), Ivan Kubiček (Vukovar-Srijem County Civil Protection) and Toni Tenjero (OIV). The main topic of the panel was the importance of new technologies and their application in civil protection and security and crisis management.
The journal Zaštita (“Protection”) has held this conference for 15 years, emphasizing the importance of crisis management and urban security while educating people, cities and municipalities about the new available solutions in that area.
